The Haley Center

The Haley Center is a ministry of First Baptist Church offering free primary health care for those who qualify. The only way to determine if a family qualifies is through an interview process at the clinic.

The following is our Mission Statement:

Following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ and in partial fulfillment of the Mission and Vision of First Baptist Church of Winter Haven, FL, in concert with other churches, ministries, relevant health and social service organizations and the appropriate governing authorities of this community, The Haley Center – Faith Based Care of First Baptist Church, exists to bring excellent, compassionate and appropriate primary medical care, at no cost, to those patients who meet the standards required for maintaining a Sovereign Immunity, and to share the biblical gospel of Christ to all who are willing to listen.

Because studies indicate that over 20% of the households of Polk County have no medical insurance, and because the people of First Baptist Church see the need to help meet the needs of the people of this community, First Baptist Church, with the support of other churches, the Florida Baptist Convention, the Health Care Community of Polk County and the Government of Polk County are seeking to meet this great medical need.

Primary Health Care will be provided free for those who qualify. Qualifications include a household whose income is 200% above the Federal Poverty Level or below and have no other medical insurance.
